The Three Capes Track is as comfy a walk as you can find – no roots, no mud – it’s either gravel, paved stone or boardwalk for the whole length. Pretty much the only thing that can go wrong is if you’ve got walking poles, and the pole tips slide into the gaps between boards and jam, which can mean a face plant onto the path. If you’re walking with poles, make sure you bring rubber stoppers to stop this happening. We can sell a pair to to you if you don’t already have them.
The Three Capes Track and the hikes on the Wineglass Bay Sail Walk are pretty much the best built tracks in Tasmania, made from gravel, paved stone or boardwalk.
