    Worked extremely well as a fold up day pack for the times when we left the big backpack behind – plenty of room for water bladder, raincoat, sunscreen (it’s TAS!) and lunch. I got most of my food and also hired a sleeping bag (+5 for late Feb) from Gear and Gourmet – their service makes the whole trek so easy. I was nervous to be hiking again after 30 years. From a reassuring phone call to answer some of my questions, to advice on what to pack, through to the drop off and collection at Port Arthur, I can’t fault them at all. Thankyou Gail and Ian – you have a fantastic business. I’m afraid I won’t enjoy other multi-day walks as much if there isn’t such a great service to be had!

    We tossed up whether to hire one of these each, or one between us. So glad we got one each for use on the days we left the pack behind. Very light to carry, scrunches down into a very small item and opens up into a large space bag. Fitted all our gear!
