The Full Track Package

$179.55$247.93

We highly recommend grabbing one of our First Aid Kits to go with this bundle, but you’ll only need one for your whole group of walkers.

You’ve got nothin’ but shoes? You can do this walk – no problems. But you’re going to need to gear-up. You need our Full Track Package: lightweight rucksack, Tasmania-strength raincoat, quick-dry polar fleece jacket, ultra-light daypack, warm ‘n’ watertight sleeping stuff, eating stuff, head torch, hiker water bottles. If you need a beanie, a sun hat and gloves you’ll need to buy them (we can only sell these, due to health regulations). Now choose your food and you’re ready to ramble…

Rucksack (& trash sack)

$49.50 $44.55
Unless you're planning to bring a full pro-scale photography kit, 3CGG's 50-litre capacity, wonderfully lightweight rucksacks are perfect for the track. Durable and hardwearing, they feature an interior pocket for a water bladder (up to 2L), two adjustable pockets on the sides for water bottles and come in three harness sizes – a comfy fit being the first step to walking pleasure. We'll also provide you with a waterproof pack liner to keep soggy weather off your stuff, and a secure dry bag for garbage to stop your rucksack from stinking up. Unsure about your size? Rain Jacket, men's & women's

$55.00 $49.50
It rains out here, sometimes a lot. Then there's the wind: source of Three Capes landscape features such as Hurricane Heath and Tornado Flats. We've chosen jackets that are light enough to feel comfortable (and not sticky!) and roll into your pack neatly, but are most definitely waterproof and will keep out the fierce Tasman wind. Made from waterproof breathable three-layer Reflex fabric in men's and women's styles and sizes. Unsure about your size? Check the sizing chart at the bottom of the page.

Long Sleeved Quick Dry Fleece (hire)

$10.00 $9.00
In case you've flown in fleece-free, we'll rent you a 3CGG full-length-zipped cutie - and you can buy it after the walk if you like it. Warm, soft and available in women's and men's sizes, with lovingly crafted and embroidered 3CGG logo.

Our fleece jackets are also available to buy for $45

Mess Kit (to hire)

$9.00 $8.10
Everything you need to eat, drink and be merry: plate, bowl, mug with measuring scale, knife, fork, spoon, and scissors (the latter essential if you're planning to eat out of any kind of packet). Our mess kits are for hire, or as part of the deal if you rent one of our track packages, or available to buy.

Ultra Light Daypack (hire)

$16.00 $14.40

The Day Three walk to Cape Pillar and The Blade, and Day Four side trip to Cape Hauy, are Three Capes highlights – and more fun without your rucksack. If you've got enough pockets for food, water and a camera no problem. Otherwise, think about taking one of our nifty waterproof daypacks. This Osprey ultralight has 20L capacity and comfy straps (but tiny when not in use).

You can also buy this pack for $94.95

Head Torch (hire)

$10.00 $9.00

Trust us, you need a head torch. Handy for late-night reading or card games and a spot of wildlife spotlighting - for which our torches come with critter-friendly red-led lights. (Also important to say that the sleeping rooms have no lighting, and if you're a nighttime bathroom visitor, they're a short walk away from the sleeping huts over duckboard.) The torch has four settings, a throw of more than 70 metres, and we load it with rechargeable NiMH high-capacity batteries.

The Cosmos head torch is also available to buy for $74.99 ($64.99 if you've hired first)

Stainless steel water bottle 1 litre (buy)

$22.99 $20.69
Due to COVID we are unable to hire water bottles.
You can choose a minimum quantity of 1 and a maximum quantity of 2 for this product!

Sleeping Bag & liner

$50.00 $45.00
Yes, you could borrow the sleeping bag that Uncle Ted used to take duck-shooting... but modern sleeping bags are compact and so much lighter and warmer. (The PWS Three Capes Track packing list says that a -5° bag is needed; note that this is a lower limit measure – and it's not actually below freezing all year round here – in spite of what you fear). We offer a mix'n'match assortment: Bags (all degree rated on the EN13537 scale): • +5° (lower limit 0°) down bag (great for warm sleepers in summer) • 0° (l.l. -4°) synthetic bag (sturdy) • -1° (l.l. -8°) ultra-light down bag (oh so light! oh so small!) • -8° (l.l. -15°) down bag for those who are really REALLY afraid of the cold, and/or vampires. Liners: • our standard stretchy t-shirt material liner (cuddly) • a toasty 'Thermolite Reactor Extreme' liner which increases sleeping bag performance by a few to several degrees (depending on how warm you sleep) • a silk/cotton liner (teeny tiny and super light) Confused? To find out how the temperature rating works, click here.  To those for whom too much reading about sleeping bags and liners is never enough (Ian), head for the bottom of the page. Those who care about weight (Gail) can find them in the drop down menus. NB: If you are taller then 180cm, choose a long bag from the options below to make sure it keeps you comfy.

This is the manufacturer’s measurement advice: have fun with the measuring tape.
Length top of hip to top of shoulder
S  35-40cm
M  40-50cm
>45cm

(But where does the hip end? And what is the top of a shoulder? Do they have bottoms as well?)
In general, if you don’t know about yourself that you have a very long torso or very long legs as part of your height (and people who do, do tend to know) we think:
below 161(ish!) cm: Small
161– 175cm: Medium
above 175(ish!): Large

They’re comfy, we promise …
