Ian’s perfect day meal pack

$36.55$70.55

Wanna eat like the experienced guy? Ian’s an energiser bunny who doesn’t eat beef or lamb, has a (not so) secret sweet tooth and loves nibbling nuts, good cheese and the footy (though not necessarily in that order) – and he actually whistles while he works … His perfect day meals contain lots of lightweight slow-burn energy and a couple of treats to keep him cheerful. Optional extras include fresh coffee (not optional for him) herbal tea and some cheeeeese, Grommit …

Delicious high energy porridge

$4.95
Oats with some high protein seeds and dried fruit for the day ahead. Comes with milk and brown sugar. How much brown sugar? The amount we like best: more than enough. The morning porridge-belly-warm feeling is especially good for the cooler months, which Gail would like you to know are pretty much all of them ...

Apples (1)

$1.20

There are few things more precious on a multi-day walk than fresh food, and a piece of fruit – niftily packaged in its very own skin – is likely to last longer than anything else. We offer the most robust two of our favourites: apples and oranges. They're ever so slightly weighty side on a per-serve basis – but, boy, is it ever worth it. Our apples are Tasmanian local varieties chosen according to season.

Crispbread or wrap with protein

Ian's scroggin

$5.95
Some people call it trail mix, others call it gorp ("good old raisins and peanuts" or "granola, oats, raisins, peanuts", depending on who's telling the story) but to us it will always be Ian's special scrog – his own custom recipe of dried fruits, nuts, seeds and a secret sugary snack for a healthy boost of energy on the track. There are two big handfuls in the bag; enough for a hilly day. It's GF and vegan friendly.

Coffee with percolator

$20.00

Hire for up to five nights. NEED LONGER?

Aha! You are a serious caffeine addict, and you're prepared to suffer for your fix. You know that there are plungers at each of the huts that you can share (for which we can provide freshly ground coffee), but you're not a fan of plunger coffee taste and grit (we're looking at you, Gail...), or the clean up afterwards (that sound you hear is Ian gnashing his teeth ...). This percolator is the closest thing you'll get to proper espresso in camp. It's easy to use, easy to clean and what better way to start the day? 250g of Tattooed Nun blend (12 cups' worth) from Tasmanian coffee gurus Zimmah, freshly roasted and ground especially for the Aeropress completes the picture. Don't forget to order milk if you need it.

Tea (3)

$0.50
Three bags of Twinings' top caffeinated picks or Nerada's organic herbal range for that morning, afternoon (have you considered hiring a vacuum flask?) or evening refresher. And do you need milk? Choose from: English Breakfast, Australian Afternoon, Earl Grey, Peppermint, Camomile or Green.
